Antonio Chiocca is a neurosurgeon and virologist who has pioneered intratumoral oncolytic adenovirus delivery for GBM. His laboratory has explored engineering strategies to enhance the selectivity and potency of oncolytic adenoviruses for malignant brain tumors. He has contributed to multiple clinical trials of oncolytic viruses for GBM and led research on combining oncolytic virotherapy with radiation and checkpoint immunotherapy.
