Anthony Bhatt

Anthony Bhatt has led international efforts to optimize surveillance protocols for Lynch syndrome and other hereditary colorectal cancer syndromes. His research through international Lynch syndrome databases has characterized cancer penetrance for each MMR gene mutation and extracolonic cancer risks. He led the CAPP2 trial demonstrating that aspirin reduces Lynch syndrome-associated cancer incidence. His work on surveillance intervals and extracolonic cancer screening has informed international guidelines for Lynch syndrome management.
