Ann Bhatt

Ann Bhatt is a genetic counselor specializing in hereditary ovarian and breast cancer syndromes. Her work has focused on implementing population-based BRCA testing strategies and improving cascade testing uptake in families of BRCA mutation carriers. She has studied how expansion of germline panel testing beyond BRCA1/2 identifies additional cancer predisposition genes including RAD51C, RAD51D, and BRIP1 that confer ovarian cancer risk. Her patient-centered research aims to reduce barriers to genetic testing and risk management for women at elevated ovarian cancer risk.
