Ann Bhatt
MD
Assistant Professor of Hematology
👥Biography 个人简介
Ann Bhatt has specialized in myeloid sarcoma, a rare extramedullary presentation of myeloid malignancy that can arise de novo or in association with AML, MDS, or myeloproliferative neoplasms. Her research has characterized the cytogenetic and molecular features of myeloid sarcoma, examining the prevalence of AML-associated mutations including FLT3, NPM1, KIT, and cytogenetic abnormalities in this diagnosis. She has investigated optimal treatment strategies for myeloid sarcoma comparing local radiation therapy, systemic AML-type chemotherapy, and allogeneic stem cell transplantation, seeking to establish evidence-based management algorithms. Her clinical work has examined the prognosis of de novo myeloid sarcoma versus that arising during transformation of pre-existing myeloid neoplasms, contributing to prognostic stratification for this rare entity.
