Angeles Alvarez Secord

Angeles Alvarez Secord is a gynecologic oncologist who has contributed to clinical studies distinguishing primary peritoneal carcinoma (PPC) from ovarian and fallopian tube cancers in terms of BRCA mutation prevalence, chemotherapy response, and survival outcomes. She has participated in trials evaluating bevacizumab and PARP inhibitors in the combined ovarian/fallopian tube/peritoneal carcinoma population and has led quality-of-life research in gynecologic oncology. She serves on NRG Oncology committees and contributes to clinical trial design for rare gynecologic histologies.
