Andrew Nicholson

Andrew Nicholson investigates alveolar soft part sarcoma (ASPS), a rare translocation-driven sarcoma with strikingly high response rates to immune checkpoint inhibitors. His work has characterized the molecular basis for ASPS's unusual immunogenicity, including high angiogenic activity and PD-L1 expression, and has contributed to clinical trials demonstrating activity of anti-PD-1/PD-L1 agents in ASPS. He participates in the NCI Rare Tumor Working Group.
