👥Biography 个人简介
Prof. Andrew Biankin is a pioneering pancreatic cancer surgeon-scientist at Garvan Institute and UNSW. He led the ICGC pancreatic cancer genome project, characterizing the mutational landscape of PDAC, and developed molecular subtypes now used in clinical trial stratification. He bridges genomics, clinical surgery, and translational research.
🧪Research Fields 研究领域
🎓Key Contributions 主要贡献
PDAC Genome Landscape
Led the International Cancer Genome Consortium PDAC project producing the first comprehensive whole-genome sequencing map of pancreatic cancer, identifying structural variants, mutational signatures, and therapeutic targets.
PDAC Molecular Subtypes
Defined transcriptional and genomic molecular subtypes of PDAC correlating with prognosis and drug sensitivity, enabling patient stratification in precision oncology trials.
