👥Biography 个人简介

Andrew Bhatt has been instrumental in defining PANoptosis, a form of inflammatory cell death combining elements of pyroptosis, apoptosis, and necroptosis, and its relevance to cancer immunology. His research characterized the PANoptosome as a multi-protein complex integrating death signals from ZBP1, RIPK3, caspase-8, and NLRP3 that coordinates diverse cell death modalities in response to pathogen and danger signals. He demonstrated that PANoptosis induction in tumor cells produces superior immunogenic cell death compared to individual death pathways. His work has identified PANoptosis as a therapeutic target for enhancing anti-tumor immunity in immunotherapy-resistant cancers.
