Andrea Necchi

Andrea Necchi is a leading Italian GU oncologist who has made important contributions to neoadjuvant and perioperative treatment of muscle-invasive bladder cancer and upper tract urothelial carcinoma. He has led clinical trials evaluating neoadjuvant immunotherapy with and without chemotherapy in bladder cancer and has investigated molecular biomarkers predicting pathological response. His research on upper tract urothelial carcinoma has helped establish treatment standards for this rare but aggressive disease. He serves on multiple guideline committees and editorial boards.
