Andrea Ablasser
MD
Professor of Life Sciences
👥Biography 个人简介
Andrea Ablasser has made key discoveries in the cGAS-STING innate immune sensing pathway and its role in macrophage activation against cancer, demonstrating how cytosolic DNA sensing triggers type I interferon production that reprograms TAMs from immunosuppressive to anti-tumor states. Her work has identified how cancer cells evade STING-mediated immune detection and how STING agonists can reactivate anti-tumor innate immunity. She has contributed to understanding STING signaling in the context of chromosomal instability and radiation therapy. Her research is foundational for STING agonist development in cancer immunotherapy.
