Ana Anderson is a pioneering immunologist who co-discovered TIM-3 as an immune checkpoint receptor and has elucidated its role in T-cell exhaustion. Her research on co-expression of multiple inhibitory receptors on tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes has informed combination checkpoint strategies. She continues to advance understanding of immune regulation in the tumor microenvironment.
