Amy Abernethy

Amy Abernethy pioneered the use of real-world data and informatics to advance palliative oncology and cancer care quality. As an academic palliative care clinician-researcher she developed electronic patient-reported outcome systems for systematic symptom monitoring. She led regulatory science efforts at the FDA to integrate real-world evidence in cancer drug approval decisions.
