Ido Amit

Ido Amit developed MARS-seq, a high-throughput single-cell RNA sequencing platform, and has created comprehensive atlases of myeloid cells in the tumor microenvironment, revealing previously unrecognized macrophage and dendritic cell states that regulate anti-tumor immunity. His work on tumor-associated macrophage polarization states has identified specific populations that either promote or suppress anti-tumor immune responses. His single-cell profiling of innate immune cells across cancer types has opened new therapeutic avenues for myeloid-targeted cancer immunotherapy.
