Alberto Bardelli

Alberto Bardelli at the Candiolo Cancer Institute is a pioneer in understanding ctDNA clonal dynamics in colorectal cancer and their relationship to anti-EGFR therapy resistance and rechallenge. His studies have shown that EGFR amplifications and RAS mutations in ctDNA predict anti-EGFR resistance and that clearing these mutations allows effective rechallenge. His work established liquid biopsy as a guide for treatment cycling in metastatic colorectal cancer.
