Salah-Eddin Al-Batran led the FLOT4 trial that established perioperative FLOT (fluorouracil, leucovorin, oxaliplatin, docetaxel) as the standard of care for resectable gastric and gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinoma. He directs the Institute of Clinical Cancer Research in Frankfurt and leads numerous German and international upper GI trials.
