Ajay Maker has developed biomarker approaches to distinguish benign from malignant pancreatic cysts through cyst fluid cytokine and proteomic profiling. He leads translational research into pancreatic cancer early detection and performs complex pancreatic surgery. He is chief of surgical oncology at UCSF.
