Tero Aittokallio

Tero Aittokallio has developed the DrugComb platform and associated machine learning methods for drug combination synergy prediction, creating comprehensive computational resources that integrate combination screening data from multiple sources to enable data-driven identification of synergistic anti-cancer drug pairs. His research at the University of Helsinki has led efforts in the DREAM challenge for combination prediction, establishing benchmark datasets and evaluation frameworks that have advanced the field of computational combination therapy design. His work combines systems pharmacology with machine learning to accelerate rational combination therapy development.
