Ahmedin Jemal at the American Cancer Society leads global cancer statistics and health equity research. He is lead author of the annual Cancer Statistics reports — the most cited papers in oncology — and his research on global cancer burden (Global Cancer Observatory), racial/ethnic cancer disparities, and prevention of cancer deaths through screening and behavioral change has influenced cancer policy at the highest levels.
