Phillip Sharp is a Nobel Laureate (1993) who discovered RNA splicing, transforming understanding of gene expression. His ongoing research on RNA biology and non-coding RNAs informs cancer gene therapy approaches. Sharp has also co-founded multiple biotechnology companies advancing RNA therapeutics.
