👥Biography 个人简介

Feng Zhang is a pioneer in the development of CRISPR-Cas genome editing technologies for use in eukaryotic cells. His laboratory developed the first CRISPR-Cas9 system for mammalian genome editing, which has revolutionized biomedical research and opened new therapeutic possibilities. Zhang has continued to discover and characterize novel CRISPR systems including Cas12 and Cas13, expanding the genome engineering toolkit. His work has laid the foundation for CRISPR-based therapeutics now in clinical trials for various diseases including cancer.
