Jalid Sehouli, MD, PhD is Professor and Chairman of Gynecology at Charité Berlin and directs the European Competence Centre for Ovarian Cancer (EKZE), one of Europe's foremost referral centers for advanced ovarian cancer surgery. He is renowned for pioneering techniques in maximal cytoreductive surgery for advanced and recurrent ovarian cancer, including multi-visceral resections and diaphragmatic peritonectomy, and has been instrumental in establishing the survival benefit of complete macroscopic resection. Professor Sehouli leads the North-Eastern German Society of Gynaecological Oncology (NOGGO) clinical trial network and has authored over 400 publications.
