Walter Weder led thoracic surgery at University Hospital Zurich for over two decades and is one of Europe's most influential mesothelioma surgeons. He developed the Zurich trimodality protocol (EPP + chemotherapy + hemithoracic radiation) and performed one of the world's highest-volume EPP programs, with over 500 procedures.
