Sant Chawla

Sant Chawla is a leading sarcoma oncologist who has contributed to pivotal trials of systemic therapies in soft tissue sarcoma. He led clinical investigations of trabectedin, eribulin, and multiple cytotoxic and targeted agents in dedifferentiated liposarcoma, leiomyosarcoma, and other STS histotypes. Chawla is a key participant in NCI sarcoma working groups and has generated significant evidence on MDM2 amplification as a diagnostic and potentially therapeutic target in well-differentiated/dedifferentiated liposarcoma. His research spans first-in-human trials to multi-site phase III studies across rare histotype-specific populations.
