Javier Martin Broto is a Spanish sarcoma oncologist who has made significant contributions to understanding and treating synovial sarcoma through NY-ESO-1 targeted immunotherapy and conventional agents. He has contributed to clinical trials of adoptive T cell therapy targeting NY-ESO-1 in synovial sarcoma and has investigated trabectedin as a histotype-specific agent in this disease. Martin Broto chairs the Sarcoma group of the Spanish Group of Oncology (GEIS) and contributes to EORTC sarcoma trials. His research also encompasses rhabdomyosarcoma treatment and rare histotype STS biology.
