Prof. Rolf Stahel is a founding force in European thoracic oncology and long-time leader of the Swiss Group for Clinical Cancer Research (SAKK). He pioneered combined surgery plus immunotherapy approaches for locally advanced NSCLC and mesothelioma and has chaired ETOP (European Thoracic Oncology Platform), shaping European lung cancer trials for decades.
