Neyssa Marina

Neyssa Marina is a pediatric oncologist who has dedicated her career to clinical research in osteosarcoma and Ewing sarcoma through leadership in Children Oncology Group trials. She contributed to defining the MAP (methotrexate, doxorubicin, cisplatin) chemotherapy backbone for osteosarcoma through AOST0331 and related studies, and has investigated addition of novel agents to this backbone. Marina has also led long-term follow-up studies of pediatric bone tumor survivors, characterizing cardiac, auditory, and secondary cancer late effects. Her advocacy for inclusion of rare tumor histotypes in COG trials has advanced evidence generation in underfunded pediatric sarcomas.
