Dermot O'Toole

Dermot O'Toole is a gastroenterologist and NET specialist who has made contributions to European NET management guidelines and natural history studies through the ENETS consortium. He contributed to the ENETS consensus guidelines on gastroenteropancreatic NETs and has led Irish NET registry studies characterizing epidemiology, management patterns, and outcomes. O'Toole has investigated biochemical markers including chromogranin A and specific NET markers for diagnosis and surveillance, and has contributed to understanding of hereditary NET syndromes including MEN1 and VHL-associated pancreatic NETs.
