James Yao is the principal investigator of the landmark RADIANT-3 trial establishing everolimus as standard therapy for advanced pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors, one of the most important clinical trial contributions in NET oncology. He has led the MD Anderson NET program and has driven development of multiple systemic therapy options for panNETs and non-panNETs through RADIANT-2, RADIANT-4, and international collaborative trials. Yao has contributed to NET prognostic stratification tools, biomarker development, and investigation of combination approaches including everolimus plus octreotide and novel PRRT combinations.
