Karyn A. Goodman

Karyn Goodman is a radiation oncologist specializing in esophageal and gastric cancer who has led trials evaluating PET-adapted radiotherapy dose escalation and novel radiation approaches in upper GI cancers. She contributed to RTOG trials evaluating chemoradiation for esophageal cancer and has investigated proton therapy to reduce treatment toxicity in thoracic irradiation. Goodman chairs the Gastrointestinal Oncology Scientific Committee for ASTRO and contributes to multidisciplinary esophageal cancer guideline development. Her translational research investigates imaging biomarkers of radiation response and normal tissue toxicity prediction.
