Hedvig Hricak

Hedvig Hricak is one of the world's most distinguished oncologic radiologists who has made landmark contributions to MRI applications across multiple cancer types. She pioneered high-resolution MRI for prostate cancer staging, cervical cancer lymph node assessment, and gynecologic tumor characterization, establishing MRI as the modality of choice for soft tissue oncology evaluation. Hricak has led radiomics research extracting quantitative imaging biomarkers from MRI, CT, and PET for tumor characterization, response assessment, and outcome prediction. She has championed integration of AI into radiology workflows and has led global initiatives for radiology standardization in cancer diagnosis.
