Bernd Kasper is a European expert in desmoid tumors and rare soft tissue sarcomas who led the pivotal DESMOSORAFENIB trial demonstrating sorafenib superiority over placebo in desmoid tumors. He has been instrumental in shifting treatment paradigms in desmoid tumors from aggressive cytotoxic approaches to observation-first strategies, recognizing spontaneous regression potential. Kasper contributes to ESMO Clinical Practice Guidelines for soft tissue and bone sarcomas and participates in European rare sarcoma networks. He has led European trials in uterine sarcomas and advanced synovial sarcoma.
