R. Eugene Zierler

R. Eugene Zierler, MD, RPVI, FACS, FSVU is a founding figure of modern vascular duplex ultrasound whose work establishing diagnostic criteria has shaped noninvasive vascular testing worldwide. As Medical Director of the D.E. Strandness Jr. Vascular Laboratory—where duplex scanning was invented—he continues the legacy of his mentor. He edited "Strandness's Duplex Scanning in Vascular Disorders" and served as Past President of ICAVL.
